I'm traveling a lot to me the idea of small netbook that would lead easily and comfortably. I do not like that she is too weak and had the screen resolution down so I was hesitant about the purchase.
My main criteria were
1. Lightweight and portable
2. Powerful enough to video and other media, without much grip fight
3. Long battery life
I started looking at laptops, but most were not lighter than my current laptop, and had the battery life of 3 or 4 hours (unless I went with a Mac … No, thank you). I watched as several million netbook that Asus has to offer and I liked the long battery life, but the Intel Atom chip only seems too weak for my taste. So I was among underpowered Netbook and too big to plug laptop in July.
I made a trip to Best Buy and I saw recently released Toshiba Satellite. I like the design, larger than a netbook, but smaller than a laptop, and I liked the fact that they are running dual-core processors (at least in this model and had a Best Buy). Seemed to suit my needs at the center.
I decided a notebook of this, but attempts have taken a decision. I buy this model from Amazon (T135-S1310) to $ 700 or can I buy this model at Best Buy (T135-S1309) for $ 550. The substantial differences between the Confused, I started to do some research. The model of Best Buy seemed to all that are the model of Amazon, with the exception of RAM 1 GB less. Well, I can upgrade to 4 GB in a simple and cheap enough so that the gap is still $ 150 works in my favor, but then I realized that the model of Best Buy is running only 32-bit Windows 7 Not knowing if there is a 64-bit operating system (ie accept the computer is only 32 bit), I decided to communicate a little 'more and can get from Amazon. Also, I red, which looks very nice (sans fingerprints! Preserved) a. Not sure if the 64-bit makes a big difference, but I can at least 4 GB of RAM to run and recognized him.
The handset works just like I expected. Size is perfect for me the trip. Overall, I can not complain about the speed of the computer, when I did not expect that the I7 new rival coming out. My older laptop uses an Intel Core Duo (not Core 2 down) to 1. 66GHz and Toshiba seems to compete with the best, maybe a little 'faster with Windows 7 Home Premium. I do not feel like I have relegated to my laptop using this.
The N wireless adapter has not found any problems, and connect my home network. My speed tests always made me against nearly 12 Mbit / s download speed on my laptop which is about G 7Mbps. So that the N-speeds are faster. This was my first device able to use my D-Link DIR-655 N router, so I'm glad it works!
I played a little 'with video online with Hulu, Netflix, and so I created and treats them well enough. HD content can be a bit 'rough at times, but easy to play, unless something decides to run in the background. This is an area that is the sacrifice, when you buy a small computer for that price, requires no dedicated graphics card. Is not a failure seems like most things that are well executed.
The sound is a big problem, and my main criticism. It is at full volume, you feel very little from the main speakers. This will be of no use, if used, a number of external speakers or headphones. We hope that this can be corrected in a future firmware / driver update, but who knows.
The battery life is amazing. In Eco mode, you can run for nearly 9 hours, is listed on the website. Of course, cut video or other media that there will be many, but I play an average of about 7 hours per charge with a reasonable amount of video / music. This is a great feature for travelers.
I remove most of the preinstalled software that came with the machine, when I find the most useless, but I saw most of the Toshiba is on it, it is worth per hour. Facial recognition software is cool, but I'm not sure of its usefulness over time, I'll be the only user of the computer, and have no important files on it. I think it's to brag that I have this ability.
I'll try to check for updates, like this, but for now I'm quite happy with my purchase. Oh, as you know, this does not mean that an optical drive, so you come to when you need it, you must be an external drive or skip this all together.

E 'strange how deeply the volume until all the equalizer settings, push upwards. Do not want to listen to music through headphones, with these levels, but at least I can finally listen to the stuff!. It makes buying even better! Big fan of this laptop and Windows 7. . . . so I updated all 3 machines in my house!

Verified Amazon Purchase (What is this?) I'm not a computer guru, I can cite information about a person, but I know that when something did work, and this guy just has to happen. Today I met six hours on battery power, still had an hour and a half left when I plugged in this time I was surfing the Internet, streaming YouTube and Hulu, and work with Photoshop and Pro Show Producer. It also deals with video encoding with the producer, as a sample. It was not hot, hot, seemed never to lay up was a breeze, and touchpad is responding well, it's just an absolute pleasure, and it looks nice to boot. The speakers are not very strong, but for everything else you get with this machine, I will not quibble about or subtract stars for the volume. I love it and it would be for anyone looking for a laptop with long battery life, always recommend that packs a little more power.
