You know those stretchy things that you wrap around a bottle of beer to keep it cold on a hot summer’s day? That’s what the Built NY E-DP15-BLK 15. 4-Inch Neoprene Laptop Portfolio reminds me of. Key word in there: “portfolio”. . . not “case”. If you’ve got a 15. 4 inch laptop and you bring it back and forth to places everyday, this might be EXACTLY what you’re looking for. It’s extremely light weight. It comes with a shoulder strap. It fit my HP EliteBook just fine even though it says that it’s meant for Dells. BUT it is meant to hold nothing other than the laptop. You might be able to squeeze in an 8 x 11 folder with one sheet of paper it. There is no room for your laptop’s AC adapter or any accessories. And the protection that this case offers is about the same that one of those stretchy beer holders offers a bottle of Bud. The beer holders and this case are made of the same stuff and this laptop case is almost as thin as one of those beer holders. This case might work for someone that runs around in their car, needs to make short, battery powered presentations at a few stops here and there, and doesn’t want the bulk of a durable case. But if you’re looking for a case that can hold your accessories, protect your laptop as you lug it through airports, and even perhaps serve also as a briefcase when you need to hit the road. . . . You’ve come to the wrong place. Want a real laptop case? Try the CHECKMATE II. Case closed.
